Demi Lovato to Fans: 'I Wouldn't Be Here Without You'

Demi Lovato made her first official appearance since leaving prescribed treatment in late January, sending fans a message of gratitude from her living room.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Looking refreshed and happy in a tan jacket, Lovato, 18, opened up about what she called "the darkest point in her life." She says, in the video posted on cambio.com, "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. Your support is what got me through."


Last November, the Sonny With a Chance star left her international tour with the Jonas Brothers to seek help for "emotional and physical issues."
                                                                                                                                                                     
"The journey has been very, very difficult," Lovato says, expressing a desire to help raise awareness about the issues with which she struggles, "so I can help people the way you helped me during this rough time."

Although she does not go into detail about returning to her hit Disney show or the status of her music career, she does tell fans, "I am excited to get back to work."
